Announcement Netherlands Patent Office

We would like to announce that, as of April 1 an important change in management took place within the Netherlands Patent Office. The purpose of this change is to merge two management positions; the position of director and department manager. As a result, Director Thijs Spigt will be leaving the organization and Vincent Stokman, department manager, will be taking another position within RVO.

We sincerely thank Thijs for his contributions over the past three and a half years, particularly his contribution to strengthening our external network and kickstarting the Online Project with the European Patent Office. 
His commitment and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated by us and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Effective immediately, Maja Schmitt, also the team manager of Patent Quality and Advice, will step in as interim director and department manager. 
From a customer perspective, there will be no changes in operations. If you previously worked directly with Thijs or Vincent, please feel free to reach out to Maja moving forward.
